Conditions of hire

Newtown Village Hall: Booking terms and conditions.

1. If a deposit is required to secure any booking of the hall and/or chairs and tables - you will be notified of the deposit amount at the time of booking.

2. Hirers MUST park their vehicles in the designated parking area. If vehicles are parked in the residents only spaces outside the Village Hall then any deposit paid may be forfeited. Signs showing the parking area are both inside and outside  the Hall.

3. If Hirers have to cancel a booking, any deposit paid will be refunded at the discretion of the Village Hall Charity committee.

4. Hirers can only use the hall for the period booked. Additional use beyond this will incur further charges.

5. Hirers are responsible for the hall during the booking period and must not damage the premises or grounds in any way. Hirers will be asked to sign an indemnity to meet the costs of any damage incurred.

6. Parking spaces immediately outside the Village Hall are for disabled drivers and deliveries ONLY and are marked accordingly.Trackways must be kept clear for residents and/or emergency access at all times.

7. The hall does not have a licence for the sale of alcohol nor a licence for the performance of music or entertainment. If you are planning to seek licences for these activities, you must obtain our permission. Please note that loud music or music amplification is not allowed.

8. Hirers must leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition, ensuring tables and chairs are returned to their storage areas, the kitchen and toilets are clean and that the hall floor is clear. (cleaning materials may be found in the cleaning cupboard near the toilets and in the litchen area. The Village Hall does not have refuse collections  - PLEASE remove all Rubbish from the Hall at the end of the hire.

9. Hirers must ensure that local residents are not disturbed when leaving the hall, and that any music ceases at eleven pm.

10. Smoking is NOT permitted in any part of the hall, and ALL fire exits must be kept clear at all times.
